When life is a black sand beach- my little haiku

The sand was black

though not the kind of black your eyes are use to,

but sparkling like million little stars had fallen from the sky

there were grey hues

and sparkles as far as the eye could see.

It burned her feet, made her run to the ocean like those summers she had spent at the beach as a kid,

when the sun was bright and she’d had to squint her eyes to see through.

The burning sand led to the cooling ocean.

Ohh, how the waves hit her bare legs. It was everything

the salt on her skin slowly turning coarse under that bright sun

There was a slight mist rising to the air from those powerful waves

and she could breathe again.

Suddenly that moment became

when it was all there

just sitting there

Thank you for reading my dear.

Kisses,

Tea
